I have 78 messages to download, but the first message cannot download. How
do I skip that message or get rid of it so I can get to my other e-mail??

Not an Outlook question.

You've kept your service provider name a secret too, that is needed to give
any specific advice, but do they have online access to your mail (ie through
the internet- for example if you were away from your home pc)? Access your
mail that way and delete the problem email- it is probably infected with
something which is why your PC won't accept it. If you don't know look at
your service providers website to see if you have the facility- most
providers do. If you don't understand or cant find the info then phone their
helpline and ask about it, or ask them to access your account and delete the
message.

An easy way to delete the message is to log on to your email account
with a web-based mail utility. Try logging on to your email account
at www.mailtoweb.com You will then be able to easily delete the
offending message.
