Hello,

I have a web site that the content developer skipped out on and also
never gave me the assets. Is it possible to use FrontPage or some
other app to essentially capture this site in it's entirety? It would
be nice to maintain the navigation of the site so I (or another more
reputable developer) don't have to "re-invent" the site layout 'cuz it
still looks good.

thanks

If you are the true owner, then you should contact the hosting company
(since you pay them) and have they give you the username and password.
Then you can connect with frontpage, ftp program, or other method to
download/backup your content.

Try this: http://www.bluesquirrel.com/products/grabasite/
The demo might be OK for you to retrieve the files. It's certainly worth a
try.

If you know where the site is hosted etc.. why not use FTP and transfer the
contents back to your hard drive?

Sean.

Because, this is probably an attempt to get a website kopier to mirror
someone else's site.

If the site was designed and uploaded with FrontPage, then it is best to
use FrontPage to download a copy. If you use FTP, you may have some
problems if the designer used FrontPage includes or other FrontPage funny
(unique/different/nonstandard) stuff.
