In learning how to turn off the welcome screen, I set my standard user account to limited account and need to set it back to standard user account (owner). I can't change my internet settings or cannot perform system recovery. How can I do this?

Hi Ca,

Logon as administrator, then you can change your user account.

For WinXP Pro, hit ctrl+alt+delete twice at the logon screen to type in
administrator and log on. For WinXP Home, you need to restart into Safe mode
(hit F8 at boot to get the boot options) to access the admin account.

Then you can change your user account in the control panel.

Go to start > run > and type 'control userpasswords2'
(without the quotation marks)

Select your account and click on properties,
in the groups tab select 'standard user.' OK your way out.

You can go to Start > Help and support > and type 'user accounts' to
learn about all the different types of user accounts available to you.

Good luck
