Need to Anotate Subject Line in Windows mail that comes with my Vista computer

just bouht a new computer with Vista - - now i cant find my install disks
for some of my stuff
how do you anotate the subject line
i like to add a few words to keep things easy to find
i could do it in Outlook - - - but i dont want to have to buy all my Office
Software all over again

I'm not following, yet.

Are you wanting to annotate the subject line of a message that you're
preparing to send, one that you have already sent, or one that you have
already received, or all of those?

By annotate do you mean modify or add to?

Windows Mail does not allow you to annotate the subject line in a
received message. The only workaround is to resend it to yourself.
 
Note that if your Office Software is Office 2003 or 2007, it will run just
fine on Vista.
