I lost my hard drive about 3 weeks after installing XP Home (I have one full
OEM version and buy COA's as I need them). I can't seem to get an answer
out of MS on this question - what steps (if any) do I have to take when I
reinstall my OEM version and COA for my machine on the new hard drive? Does
the product have to be reactivated or will the MS database pick up on the
fact that the product is being reinstalled on the same machine with a
different hard drive (original configuration was two drives of 20 and 15 GB
set as master/slave - the new configuration will be one drive of 80 GB).
Anyone have any ideas on this. Please let me know. Thanks!
