Need PPViewer97 Help.

Any MSN professional or self-taught computer/gearheads out there that might
give me an idea about how to make the "sound" portion of a Power Point97
Viewer Slide presentation file of the Blue Angels with music from "Top Gun"
work again? I saved the file on my Win 98SE/Seagate tape backup program,
but when I reloaded it back onto my harddrive, I can only get the slide show
presentation to work, (no music). The same applies to a Christmas slide
show with Karen Carpenter singing 'Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas".
They are really two great slide shows that I've kept for a year and have
always managed to get them work after a reformat and copying them from tape
back to the hard drive . This time all I get is the slides, no sound. It has
me stumped. If you want, I'll send the two files Thanks.

It's likely that the sound is linked to the presentation (PPT) file and not
embedded. You'll need to restore the sound files as well as the PPT file.

Give that a go and let us know if Top Gun still flames out.

Obligatory Scold: You know that you need to be cautious in how you use these
sound tracks, right? I wouldn't show these things for pay, and it's doubtful
that you can legally use them for anything but your own personal use at home.
