During re-installation of Microsoft XP Home Edtion, I
reach a point where it tells me that the procedure entry
point GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link
library MSDART.DLL. What is this error?! I have no clue
and I don't know how to fix this because I can't get my
computer to do anything else accept restart from the
middle of setup!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!

I have the same problem with XP Pro. I would be happy to
go back to the version I had before trying to re-install.

Hope somebody can help us.

I received a reponse from Microsoft that worked.
When the problem occurs, press Shift +F10 to bring up the
command prompt. Then type taskmgr.exe in the DOS window
and press Enter. The Task Manager should be started. If
not, try to press C+Shift+ESC. In the Task Manager
program, select the error messsage window in the
application list and click "End Task". In the process
list, terminate the unregmp2.exe program. Exit the DOS
prompt window and resume the installation process

It worked like a champ first time

There is another thread on this site regarding MSDART.dll. Withou
going through the whole post, the answer to your problem is to jus
keep clicking the error message OK. Some folks have clicked 200 plu
times before the message goes away, but then everything loads properly
I know, we had the exact same problem and solved it this way thi
evening
