They're all good. AMD is cheaper.

I don't know the answer (other than to say all are good), but let me point
out that a 64-bit processor does nothing for you unless you also run a
64-bit version of Windows.

And even if you run a 64-bit version of Windows, there will be very little
discernable performance improvement unless you also run 64-bit apps (of
which there are currently very few).

Since you asked which one is the best processor, it would be the Intel Core 2
Duo in either the E6600 (2.4ghz) , E6700 (2.666 ghz) or EX6800 (2.933 ghz),
these are by far the fastest processors available, that is until the quad
cores become available.

If you are looking for economical yet still powerful, pretty much any of the
processors you listed would serve you well. They all have plenty of power
which most people have a hard time telling apart. You really need to think
about what you want to use it for, and make your decision from that.

What are you going to do with the system? This question will determine what
route to take.

Given those choices I would pick the AMD Athlon or Turion (not Sempron) 64
dual core or the Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo. If you plan on keeping the
computer for more than a year or two then get both multi core and 64 bit
capabilities To make sure you you get the maximum life out of a computer
before you need to upgrade again I currently recommend you need two things,
more than one core, 64 bit capability. Neither is currently needed. Both may
be very desirable or needed within three to five years. The next generation
of Microsoft server OS' require a 64 bit CPU. It is likely the next desktop
OS will follow this lead. As multi core CPU's become more prevalent
programmers will start taking advantage of this and write programs for them.
The program will run on single core CPU's but much slower. As for AMD or
Intel that is mostly personal preference and is much like asking should I
buy a Toyota or a Honda.
