need hint on MS usegroups

Hello,

can anyone tell me where Microsoft serves its main newsgroups? i tried
using "news.microsoft.com", but this only yeilds a couple of dozen
groups, and not all the main help groups that I'm used to (winxp, OE6,
.....etc)

is there a different news server I can use?

(ps on the same topic, is there a list anywhere on the 'net of public
news servers that you can subscribe to (free), like microsoft, steve
gibson's etc)...

You should be using "msnews.microsoft.com".

Oddly enough, news.microsoft.com and msnews.microsoft.com do route to the
same server. Well, that's not really odd, the odd part is that Sparkie only
saw a couple dozen newsgroups when he connected to it. Both addresses
should give up the same information, so I'd like to hear what Sparkie sees
when connecting to msnews.microsoft.com.
