Hello Everybody,

I need your help. I am trying to figure out, how I can send an email to a
friend, and get an email back with a confirmation stating that the email was
open. Is there a way I can do this? Please Help.

I am running os X 10.3, Entourage 2004.

Thanx,

Tito

But you're asking the question in a newsgroup for the design of Visual
Basic for Applications code in Forms in Microsoft Access.

I would suggest that you post this question on a newsgroup which
supports Entourage; you're much more likely to get a useful answer!
This is like walking into a bicycle shop and asking to buy a layer
cake!

Tito,

You'll have to play around with your email client (Entourage 2004... What's
that?? Just kidding..).

First, your email client would have to have the functionality to ask for
notifications. For example, in Outlook, for every email you send you can
request a read or receipt notifications or both.

Second, when you do request such notifications, it still doesnt mean you
will get them. The receiving email server can be set to ignore receipt
notification requests (and many email servers are configured to do so).
Also, when your receipient finally gets and reads your email, he or she
still has the option of refusing to send you a notification.

The only email notification that's reliable is undeliverable notice (i.e.
invalid recipient, down server, etc.). Nowadays, with the rampant spam
problem, even these undeliverable notices are no longer reliable because you
may get them even though you havent sent any email. Spammers love to send
email using (forging) your email address as the sender.
