Hello :-)

Why does "filmstrip" sometimes appear in the Windows Explorer view list with
in some folders and not others? Is there a way to make it available?

Hi,

It would be available only in folders that contain the media types supported
by that view.

If you want a "filmstrip" option, you need to have images in
that folder that would work with/be accessible to the
filmstrip option.

I don't see a "filmstrip" option in any of my documents
folders. But if a jpg or bmp strays into a document folder,
the image shows up.

I'm assuming (could be wrong) that you will only see a
filmstrip option if you have enough images in the folder to
require a filmstrip. (I'm not a tekkie)

Good luck!

rightclick on folder, select customize and there is dropdown - what kind of
folder do you want. select pictures one.
Folder tasks must be activated to use this feature.

Got it :-) Thanx! :-)
