Can't seem to get the sfc command to work. I keep getting an error telling
me that I either have the incorrect CD in the computer or that missing dll
files need to be copies( but they don't).
I've tried things such as copying the i386 folder to my hard drive and
changing the registry source settings. Nothing seems to work. The only
thing I've done recently is used a tool to completely remove an NVIDIA
driver for my video card so that I could update the driver. I have also
added more memory, a network card, and a new sound card. Now I can not sue
the sfc command. The machine is working fines...but not being able to
ensure that all the system files at good has me nervous.
Could the change in hardware cause WinXP to think this is a new machine and
cause the sfc not to work until I re-register? I've not gotten any other
messages so I do not think this is it (friends suggestion).
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
