What is the best way to set up a printer in terms of all around speed? I
have an HP T65 all in one (Parallel) and my daughters have USB all in one HP
1210's...

At times it seems the 1210's are slow in responding to print.. A run of
Sandra advises it is better to print to an ETF (I think that's what was
advised)..

Otherwise, all printers are set up and work.. just looking for more optimal
set up... thank you...

Also, anyone familiar with an older Dell.. does it have the 2.0 USB port or
the old.1 point something - this Dell was a Dimension L350C.. (Powerleaped
to a 750c, of course..).

A Parallel printer should have it's BIOS settings at EPP for best results in
XP.

An older Dell with have a USB1.1 port. You can however purchase a PCMCIA
card with USB2.0 ports on it if you need USB2.0. You cannot upgrade a
USB1.1 port to be 2.0. They're totally different in terms of internal
hardware and coding.

Hmmmmm.
If I did this would my existing USB 1.1 devices plug into <and work!> with
USB2.0?

(Especially my "Belkin USB Videobus2* lead)

You can connect USB1.1 devices into a USB2.0 card or hub with no problems!
I have 2 USB2.0 ports on my motherboard and a 5port USB2.0 PCI card in my
desktop. Into them I connect:

ForceFeedback2 Joystick (USB1.1)
Saitek Gamepad (1.1)
Sandisk ImageMate SD Card Reader (2.0)
Canon i950 printer (1.1)
Canon LiDE80 scanner (2.0)
Intellimouse Explorer (1.1)

They all work fine.... but not all at once, even with a 425watt PSU! I
actually keep the game controllers disconnected... or I'll lose my card
reader!

Thank you... I'm sorry, I should have made my question clearer..

I noticed that the USB printers are not as responsive as the Parallel
ones... After running Sandra, it suggested it would be better to 'write to
EMF'.. in other words, we're set up to use a 'Raw' print processor... there
are various EMF data types listed, 1.03 thru 1.08.. is if faster to write to
EMF data type and if so which one, the highest number/??\\

Thanks!
