I have two RAID drives: C: and D: I was transferring some data from
drive D to an external drive and it didn't all fit. Instead of doing a
copy, I did a cut and paste. Before I realized what I was doing, I
deleted the files off the external drive in order to start over, not
realizing that I no longer had the original files on my D drive. I
tried doing a system restore with no luck. I haven't put anything else
on my D drive, hoping I can recover the data. There are two files I'm
missing, both several gig big. When they were deleted, they were too
big for the recycle bin, so windows just deleted them. From everything
I've read, they should still be on my drive since I haven't overwritten
them. I've downloaded a couple data recovery softwares but I'm not
seeing my lost files in their list. Can someone please help me?
