Need Help real bad for a dropdown list based on a value from a fie

I have tried many times but still can't get it.

I have 2 tables, named tblrisk with a field name Program_Area and another
table named tblrisktypeArea with fields name Program_Area and Risk_Type.

The form name is shortmenuerisk, with controlname of cborisk, it is a combo
box,
What I need help on is when a user selects in the Program_Area and chooses a
value of "Cost" then user goes to Risk_AREA field, I like the form to provide
a dropdown list of only the risk area names that equal the value of "cost"
or the selected value in the Program Area.

I'm a novice at this and read all the threads but still no joy...

I really, really need help.

You need a where clause in the select statement or query which is the source
of the second combo box. The is an example on the AccessMVP website. It uses
list boxes, but the method is identical:

Thanks but I get an error code that say "record Source specified on this form
or report does not exist.".

But the form is open when I select the form to insert data

I'm not sure what to tell you. The recordsource is in the sample database.
