I messed around on my home PC trying to change the name on
my computer. When I re-booted, the first screen that comes
up is a Windows log-in screen. This didn't happen before.
It has the old name on the computer and asks for a
password. I don't even know if I had ever set this, and if
so, I don't know what the password is. I tried using the
new computer name and password I had just set up, but it
doesn't work. I have a DELL 4550 which came with one CD
from MicroSoft entitled Set-up, so I attempted to boot from
the CD, and the same thing comes up. I also tried using
the F1 and F12 buttons, but if the answer is there, I don't
know where. I called DELL, but they won't help. Thanks
for anyone who can offer advice.
