need help calculating percentage

I am selling some personal items that are listed on a
spread sheet. In one column I have the listed retail
price in the other column I have the price I am selling
at. The third column, I want to show the percentage of
the discount example retail $75 - selling for $30 -
discount is $ ?
I know this can be done, I just can't figure it out on my
own. I would really appreciate your help.

Rene, I think this will do what you want retail in A, selling in B1 in C1
put =(A1-B1)/A1
