Need Explorer Help

Clicking on Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, M
Computer, or Control Panel does nothing. I lose my deskto
momentarily then it reappears, but the program does no
launch. This does not happen in Safe Mode. Tried reloadin
IE 6 but got message that newer version there already. Mad
registry changes as knowlege base recommended and trie
reinstall, now seems like it is halfway installed. Othe
programs work OK. Since things work in Safe Mode, would i
be a driver or background task?

As you point out, it might be a driver or another program. You can
perform a clean boot (disabling all items in the startup tab of Start
Run > msconfig) and enable them one or two at a time to see which

one causes this behaviour.
