I know that there is a patch for the Bugcode_USB_DrIVER error. I can't seem
to get help from Microsoft or HP. I have a legal copy of XP which came on my
computer. I have a Pavilion A245. Can anyone help?

You have to get it direct from MS. If you know the MS knowledge base
number that speaks of it, look that up. It has info on getting the
hotfix or

Call Microsoft Professional Customer Service @ 1-800-936-4900 (this line
is 24/7), there is an option for hotfix. A rep will email you a link to
the fix.

Thank you Rock I called the number and got put on hold for 10 minutes and
then the line disconnected. When I went on line, they told me to contact HP.
I contacted HP and they say that there is no hotfix patch and that I need to
uninstall SP2 in safe mode and update the BIOS and then reinstall SP2. That
seems like a lot of trouble. The is error message gives me a blue screen but
doesn't seem to be causing any damage. Can this hurt my system if I do
nothing about it or should I reformat?

Thanks for your Help!

I don't know why the line disconnected you, but that is the way to get
hot fixes if you know the Knowledge base article number. As to your
question about will it hurt the system, I don't have any specific
knowledge about that error so I can't say what it can turn into.
