What does Error code 102 The semaphore is set and cannot be closed mean? I
keep getting this error in event viewer. I also get a netlogon error each
time I start the computer 7001.

Error #102 No Upgrade is available at this time.
This message indicates that there are no upgrades currently available
Error 7001 is the result of error 102.
You can do a Google search for more info on this type of problem.
 
Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea why I might be getting this every
time I logon as Administrator when I am not trying to upgrade anything. It
is the first message I see as I log on every time I log on.
 
I essence, you ARE trying to update something. You have probably left the
default setting in place that instructs your system to check for updates.
(Control Panel, System applet, Update tab, box checked for updates.)
