I want to delete everything on my laptop.It's a Compaq Armada1592DMT , I want
to make it as if I just got it.Clear everything out of it.Make it brand new.
Know what I mean?

The laptop is used, I couldn't afford a new one.So I went and got a used one
for free.It is full of old files, it has crap on it that I can't delete.I
need a way to delete everything on it. It has Win2000pro and Pentium MMX.It
looks brand new, couldn't tell if it was used. There are no modifications to
it.

Please, can someone tell
me how to do it?

The simplest solution would require you to have the "Restore Disk" that came
with the computer.
This would restore the computer to the "just out of the factory" status.

If you did not, or cannot, get this disk from the original owner, you are
going to have to invest some time and money.
First go to the HP web site (they own Compaq now), link to the support
section.
follow the links to your model and download to a CD all of the driver
software they have for that model.

Then go to a search for Windows 2000 software. You might find a copy at a
major PC supply store, but most likely you will have to go to an auction
site, such as ebay. Make sure you get a copy with certification and
product key.

Then go to www.bootdisk.com and get the program to make a boot disk for your
computer.
With the boot disk tools, wipe the hard drive clean, create an active
partition, and reformat the harddrive.
Then boot with the windows 2000 disk and follow the instructions for
installation.
After Windows 2000 is installed, use the CD with the driver software you
downloaded from Compaq (HP) to fix any hardware problems that were not
automatically setup by Windows.

Or Take it to a Tech and have them clean off the current system.

Use a zero fill utility.
