NCO files do not open

Have several NCO files...in Word; and in Picture It! with "jpg.nco"
extensions that I cannot open. Maybe because I either saved or downloaded
with an old "Ahead" program that I have since deleted.
Have tried "renaming" but extensions remain. Also tried "Open With" but same
problem.
This may seem difficult to understand, but can anyone help, please. I need
to find documents and photos that have this "nco" extension.

..NCO files seem to be Nero BackItUp Compressed Backup files.

Right click the file and choose Open with Nero BackItUp Restore
Save As dialog should open
You can save as normal file extension and uncompressed
