NB - what does this mean?

Hi Folks,

Sometimes in replies to posts, I see these letters and
believe it or not I don't know what they mean! Can someone
enlighten me please?

It is short for the Latin phrase "Nota Bene" , literally "note well", or
loosely, "words to the wise".
