Gigabyte MB the monitoring app says temp is 116 F

it seems I do not have my cooling fan in the front of thee case hooked up to
the monitoring pins so it shows 0 rmp's

the CPU fan is running at 2600 rpm

how can I replace the NB fan and any other tips to cool this down will be
appreciated.

P 4 - 2.4GHz with 1GB DDR 2100 ram
2 video adapters - ATI AIW Pro AGP and old PCI VooDoo 3/3000
3 internal hard drives
1 CD Rom
1 DVD recorder
1 Plextor CD-RW
3Com NIC

116 F is not high for a CPU. That is only 45C which is well within
range.

You currently have nothing to worry about.

And if you meant NB (Northbridge) fan, most of them are purely cosmetic,
unless you are radically overclocking or over volting something. I
normally just remove the fan completely - nasty noisy little 40mm
squealers.

Case fans are rarely monitored - they are normally 2 wire, running off a
4-pin Molex (disk) connector, and don't have a revolution monitor built
in (3rd wire). You can find 3 wire, motherboard connected, case fans,
but they are not common.

Save the worrying for =after= the system goes unstable.
