Nav/Nis performance issues

I've read numerous postings about Norton (Anti-Virus & Firewall)
"significantly" slowing down users PC's. While the programs are
pretty resource intensive, if you trim back the logging functions by
Nav and Nis you can re-capture some of your performance loss.
Just open the control modules, Statistics (or Reports) and View
Logs. Just Right Click each category, clear contents and then do
a "Disable" on that specific log.
I use both products and with a little fine-tuning neither really affects
my PC's performance.
