Native Mode - PDC Emulator

Hello all,

Can you tell me, am I right in assuming the following:

I have a Windows 2000 domain in Native mode, with the PDC emulator running in one site.

If, as I do, have DOS clients trying to connect to the network (via the PDCE) and a link to the site that hosts PDCE goes down, they won't be able to connect?

Many thanks,

Giles

I'm not aware of such a problem (although I am too young to have dealt with
anything other than Windows' command prompt).

Surely, an application that believes there to be a PDC and then read-only
BDCs will still authenticate with BDCs??

(unless they're configured to only point at a specific DC that is).
