Is it possible to record a narration, & have it link to the RELATIVE path of
the sound files? OR is it possible to edit the path of the linked sound file?

I need to record a narration (link to sound files) & then move the files to
various places on the network - the presentation & sound files are always in
the same folder however . The linking is very flaky - sometimes it updates to
the new location & sometimes it doesn't. Any suggestions are most welcome.

No, I don't think so. This may have changed in later versions ... I happen to
have 2000 open right now and even when I choose link and nominate the same
folder as the PPT file, the sound links have a fully hardcoded path.

That it is.

VB code you can use to do the job or base your own "fix" on:

Show me the link and let me edit it

Link editing is a built-in feature of our inexpensive "Plus" upgrade to the free
PPTools Starter Set ( http://starterset.pptools.com ) and it also lets you edit
tags, which'd enable you to edit the recorded timings.

We also have a FixLinks addin ( http://fixlinks.pptools.com ) that'll do the
whole deal for you automatically and fix other sorts of links as well.

You might want to try the Package for CD Wizard first, if you have 2003
