Naming users and computers during newtwork deployment

Hello,
i would like to assign names to a couple of computers relative to
their location in the building. Is there a way to do this (maybe by
their MAC address) ?

What is the best method of deployment if i need to specify that, and
would also like to separate system and data/code partitions(this can
be done in unattended install by specifying the program/profiles dir)
?
