Hello,

We have a naming convention like:

"WKS0001" (for Workstation 1 etc ....)

How can I roll out 50 machine using RIS counting WKS0050, WKS0051 .... etc?

Do I need to use staging? Or can i use an floppy disk with the name on it.
When staging is there a tool to get the GUID for DELL machines ?

Thx

You can use the custom setup screens to create computer names which must be
typed by your users or you can use the RIS server defaults.

To set RIS Server defaults, open AD Users & Computers and right-click your
RIS server to get properties. Click the Remote tab, then "Advanced
Settings". Under "Generate client computer names.." click on Custom.

At this point, you can set up a custom sequence which will create names as
follows: WKS51, WKS52, etc. To my knowledge the RIS server will not place
the leading zeroes.
