Names in cc field not displaying

I recently switched from Outlook Express to Outlook 2002. I have a problem
that I also had in Outlook Express: The cc field displays in message headers,
but the person's name doesn't display (it never has for me). Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Insufficient information. In what messages in what view? What does display?

Received messages and sent messages. (Let's say I send a message with my
name in the cc field. The cc field is blank in both the sent message and the
one I receive -- though I do receive the message.) I'm using the "Messages"
view (no Autopreview).

Thanks for getting back to me -- hope this is enough information to go on.

Now you're losing me.
The format of the name in Received messages is controlled by the sender, not
the recipient.
So is the only problem you're having that your own name fails to appear when
you CC yourself? That sounds like normal behavior to me.

Nope, that's not the only time it happens. If I send a message to you and cc
your brother, when I look at the sent message your brother's name does not
appear in the cc field.

Nothing. The letters "cc" appear to the left, but no names appear at all.
Weird, and very annoying.

Never seen it reported. Can't reproduce it either.
How are you entering addresses in the CC field? How were these Contacts
created?

Hi Russ - My sister Debbie was writing for me because she was the one
familiar with this list. I'm jumping in here so I can tell you exactly
what's going on and she doesn't have to back and forth between us. There is
no problem with emails that I send. The problem is with emails I receive.
Actually, it manifests itself in two ways: 1) When someone cc's me on an
email they send to someone else, I do receive the email, but my name shows up
in the To field. I see the cc field but no names are displayed. Also, I do
not see the name of who the email was sent to (the sender's To field). 2)
When several people are cc'd on an email (including me), I do not see any
names displayed in the cc field. Again, I see my own name in the To field
and that is all. Does this sound like a bug to you? If so, how do you
suggest I go about dealing with it? Contacting Dell (Outlook came bundled
with my computer)? Thanks so much, NancyS

This is not an Outlook problem. Everything you describe is controlled by the
sender, not the recipient. Outlook simply displays whatever information is
contained in the e-mail's header.
