Hi,

I'm trying to build a little macro to help me make beamer-like presentations
(e.g. with a menu on the rhs of some of the index titles).

Completely new to vba, done lots of c# and java though, experienced
developer.

I'm looking to create an autoshape with a name on the master layout. I can
add a new text box there with a control, but I don't think this is what I
want - the text box control does not seem the same as the insert -> textbox
option.

Suggestions? tia,

Chris

Do you need to create the shape programmatically or just name it so you can
access it programmatically later?

Chris,
Simple record a macro while inserting the textbox. Then check out the
generated code. That should help you.
