In contacts you can display name-surname or surname-name
but when i send an e-mail "at" the list shows me name-surname,
difficult to search a surname.
How to get a list surname-name or eventually rearange the fields

You failed to post your Outlook version, so it is difficult to answer you.

Depending on your version and mail support mode of Outlook, you can sort the
Outlook Address Book this way (check for your mode on the second line of the
Help menu > About):

97, 98/2000 in Corporate/Workgroup mode:
Tools menu > Services > Highlight the Outlook Address Book service > Click
Properties > Set sort order

98/2000 Internet Mail Only:
Tools menu > Address Book > View menu > Sort by

Outlook 2002/2003:
Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there

Wow Russ great !!!!
I was looking for this answer long long time
I got a French 2003 sp2, it's working perfectly.
Thanks again

By the way, any change to get that small window , "send to" email address
list, bigger ???
It's a nasty search when one got a long name/surname and several e-mails.

Outlook 2003 is the first version that allows you to resize this view. Just
drag the corner to the size you want and it will persist.
