name resolution

I'm using XP pro as a client to RAS into a NT 4.0 server.
The client connects, but can't do anything else.
The NT server can't see the client or resolve the name.
Can't ping the name either. I'm using DHCP on the server
as well as WINS. I think it's a name resolutions problem.
Any Suggestions,

As you suspect, it is undoubtedly a DNS problem. So, what are your dns
settings?

I'm not using DNS. I have another dialup network with the
same configuration, only the clients are nt not XP.
