Name of CD in cd drive

Windows explorer use to give me the name of the CD that was in the CD
drive. It no longer does this. It shows no name at all. Yup, I
probably pressed the wrong button last week. How do I go about
unpressing that button, or in other words, how do I re-establish that
naming procedure.

I only have 2 restore points, yesterday and today. (I think I pushed
another wrong button) All points were gone but now they are starting
again.

Problem must have occurred before yesterday.
