Hi,
We got a accounting spreadsheet via e-mail from a client which contains a
lot of formulas. This file can be open by all the computers; however, one
two computers, the cells show #NAME? instead of the numbers. All the
computers have Office 2003 SP2 (we cannot install SP3 because of some third
party software) and one has Office 2007 SP1 and the computer with office 2003
is one of the two computer that cannot see the numbers. It seems like an
issue with the computers, not the file.

Please help,
thanks,
Steve Louie

It would be helpful to know what function names are referenced in the
cell.

My guess: something in the Analysis ToolPak, a MS add-in. Even
though the ATP is on the Excel installation disk, you must explicitly
install it, both from the disk and into each workbook. For more
information, see the Help page for EOMONTH (for example) and see the
instructions for dealing with the #NAME error.

Of course, the accounting workbook might also depend on 3rd-party add-
ins. But it seems unlikely that you would have (coincidentally)
installed them any computer, much less all but one.

HTH.
