Gonna reformat and reinstall win XP Home

Do I HAVE to use the same name as in previous installation, or can I use a different name as fars as MS is concerned

What is minimum characters allowed. I want to use a 3 letter word

Thank

Ben

You can change the name as often as you want and you don't need to reinstall
XP to do it (FYI).

I believe you can use 3 letters as the name.

Thanks Scott,

I have so many problems with XP, I HAVE to reinstall. Worst OS I have ever worked with.

Ben

Have patience Ben. Your system may be to blame for some of your
frustrations. I have 4 different machines ranging from a new Dell 8300 to a
5 year old Dell Pentium (not P2, P3, P4 mind you, just Pentium) that I run
XP on without problems. I've found it to be extremely stable and incredibly
easy to network. I've never needed to install any drivers to get my DSL or
LAN up and running, XP did it all automatically for me.

Good luck!
