Can I put two computers both with Windows XP into network without a hub in between? I mean just by connecting both of them with a simple rj45 ethernet cable connected to NIC RJ45 ports of both the computers? If yes, Please tell me the procedures. Thanks.
 
yes you can, but you will need a crossover cable, NOT a
regular patch cable
