Each time my computer boots up, I get a window that says
an n-case file is missing and may cause some programs to
not work properly. It asks if I want to install, delete
and clean up or continue and remind me later. What is
this file, and what will it do if I delete it?

nCase is adware. Use AdAware or Spybot Search and Destroy to remove it. You
may need to do some additional steps manually to get rid of it completely.

Greetings --

n-Case is a form of spyware. Two products that are normally
quite effective at finding and removing such scumware are Ad-Aware
from www.lavasoft.de and SpyBot Search and Destroy from
http://security.kolla.de/. Both have free versions.

Symantec provides removal instructions:

Additional manual removal instructions for the most common
varieties of scumware are available here:

Thanks for catching that; I thought I'd fixed that.

Someday I'll have to automate the boilerplate answers, but
for now it is a choice between typos and speed. Seems I
have a tendency to get T - Y and B-N and a few other keys
by mistake. Not a big problem, unless the typo is also a
real word and I miss it visually. I know what I meant to
say and I see that on the screen.
