Mystery Temp files- help needed!!

Every time I turn on my computer, I get a strange message saying a file is
not compatible and there is an image error - the file name changes, but
always ther are about four messages that I have to go through before I can
start working. All files are in the Documents and Settings folder, in a file
titled "locals~\temp\file name.tmp" the file names are things like nba4,
nba3, zda5, cya. I have tried to find them and delete them, but cannot find
the "locals" folder. In addition, I cannot find my temp file either- it just
doesn't seem to exist. I ran Ad-aware and other spy ware programs, but it
hasn't fixed the problem. Can someone help? The computer is slow and we are
having a hard time connecting to the internet as well.

Snip and paste this in your Run > Dialog Box.
"%temp%" (no quotes) hit enter, select all contents, delete.
Reboot, and see if the issue persists.
Post back with your findings for possible further corrective action.
