Mystery Proccessor start-up

Please advise. My proccessor has been turning itself on automatically. This happens at odd times of the day & night. Has been happening for about a month. I did install an external modem about that time. Please tell me;; could it be the modem or other reason or do I have a ghost in my house?? Thank-you in advance 11calico
 
Disable "Wake on LAN" and "Wake on Modem" in your system BIOS.
