I have a IP address showing up on my home network.
Is there a way to ping it or a command that might return some info that
might give a hint as to what hardware is associated with the IP?

thanks

Hi

Have you tried pining the IP from a command prompt?

are u on a wireless network? or wired?

if you are wired, someone could be sharing your internet for free.......

I have both. And yes Im worried about someone using my wireless. Its
registered in my DNS so I was trying to find out if its some device on the
network. I guess I can just disconnect things to associate it.

Run nbtstat -a 192.168.0.5 from a Command Prompt.
