Some application is writing the "thumbs.db" file in all my folders. It is
7kby and hidden. Anybody know what's doing this? Maybe a virus, although
my Symantec scanner doesn't identify one on my system.

It doesn't seem to be causing any trouble, but I'd like to identify the
thing and get rid of it.

Thanks, Ted

It is there to allow the Thumbnail view of certain file types in that
folder.
It is created if you enable thumbnail view of that folder and it has the
appropriate file types.
