mysterious delay after night

I have outlook on my home machine (Windows XP), normally
very, very fast. Now I come to my machine first thing in
the morning after it has been on standby or hibernate and
Outlook runs amazingly slow. I clik on an already-read
emails in my box and it takes between 3-4 seconds to come
up. Every keystroke has this built-in delay at the front
end. I am running antispyware (spybot, adaware)
regularly and a scan/removal with either doesn't solve
the problem. I also have norton utilities. The only
thing that helps is a reboot. Ideas?

Many, many thanks in advance.

which version of outlook and is outlook left running 24/7? if so, do you
minimize it?

I have Outlook 2002; I know the problem occurs when I
leave it running 24/7; not sure if it happens open or
minimized. thanks
