in windows xp, if you click on "mycomputer" you will see
your harddrives as well as a folder labeled "mydocuments".

how do you delete this folder?

i find this folder very annoying.

My Documents is a Windows system folder. It cannot be deleted. You can, if
you wish, move it to a different partition.

You don't. It will be recreated. But you can point the 'logical
idea' of 'My Documents' to use some other folder (or drive) as a place
to save files by default. Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from
(if you have installed XP SP1)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

If you have not installed SP!, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start -
All Programs - Powertoys for Windows XP
Its My Computer - SPecial folders, you can select it from the list and
Change Location
