My XP Pro pc is not recognizing my Minolta Dimage z1 Digital Camera

My XP Pro pc is not recognizing my Minolta Dimage z1 Digital Camera when I connect it to the USB port. I have been able to find the Drivers anywhere. Can someone please help me

I have this camera and winxp and it works fine. Make sure the camera is
switched on and when you connect it the camera screen should be dark but
with a little icon in the top right corner.

Try the add new hardware wizard in control panel in winxp and make sure that
the usb port u are using works by connecting some other device there. try
the camera on a friend's pc to see if that works ok.

Do you have a USB scanner connected to the PC? If you do, unplug it and try the camera connection. There is an inherit problem in XP that onlt one device can use usbscan.sys driver. All USB scanners use it, and some digital cameras. It's a bit awkward to keep switchong the devices, but that's the only thing that will work
