i own a dell notebook & my xp seems to keep shutting off.
I've run multiple virus scans & nothing comes up.
However, I looked in the task manager & found the process "tiymm.exe",
but no matter where i look, I can't find any information on it. This
process seems a bit suspicious, however there were some other
suspicious acitivity going on. I went into my event viewer & there
were a couple errors with my cd rom drive, i disabled the drivers &
waited, & my computer just shut off again. I was thinking maybe it
was a power supply or even overheating (it does get very hot, but it's
been hot since the first year i bought it & nothing like this has ever
happened). Please help?
Thanks-

I'd imagine it's an over heating issue. Over time, components inside can
get clogged up with dust. A simple can of compressed air could now be your
best friend. Or if you have a compressor, even better... You'll want to
blow out the heat sink and fan area pretty good.

"tiymm.exe" is not a windows file.
Scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus,as well as
with latest versions of Spybot,Search and Destroy,CWShredder and Adaware
in Safe Mode.
