My Windows Media Player will not play videos of any format

My Windows Media Player will not play videos of any format
correclty. In fact, not even my divx will play videos.
Something on my computer must be messed up because on
windows media player 9 it will play the music but it will
not play the video on my music videos. If anyone has any
ideas on how to make it work, whether it's a codec problem
or something else, it would be greatly appreciated. Please
reply as soon as possible.

I have the same problem..i can only watch movies or
videos in vga mode or safe mode, so it must be a driver
problem, but i can't figure out which one

i had me before and an asus video card and it worked
fine...when i installed xp, it went haywire and would
crash then it would only play the sound. i'm still
trying to figure it out!
