Do you have separate email addresses?
And you're sharing one computer?
Either use separate Windows user logins, or else use
message rules to keep the mail separated.

Yes but keeps opening his

In which case both must be setup in Windows Mail
and your old man's is set as default.

So... select Tools > Accounts (from your mail WM window)

Click to highlight your email account,

then click on "Set as Default."

Click on "Close"

Exit Windows Mail and restart it.

Now what happens?

If you have separate login to Vista, and different email accounts/addresses,
then go to WM, (in your login account), >tools>accounts>select his account
and hit remove.

Do you get your own mail too?

nothing lol, sent a test email from my yahoo addy and it went the folder I
created in message rules, so is still his acc

yes I tried to remove his acc but it wont do it...oh well guess I'll stay
with yahoo, msn and gmail lol, at least there my mail is MY mail and not his

I am new to Windows Mail. Had Outlook Express, where my wife and I each had
our own identities, and could switch to whichever wanted to do mail. Now in
setting up windows mail, I set up 2 accounts - one for each of us. But, all
our mail is shown in the inbox when we open Windows Mail. How do we keep our
emails separate?

Go to Tools, Message Rules, Mail, New...
and the wizard will guide you through the creation of a new message
rule. You should wind up with two rules looking something like this:

1. Where the message is from the 'His' account
move it to the 'His' folder
and stop processing more rules.

2. Where the message is from the 'Her' account
move it to the 'Her' folder
and stop processing more rules.

Hope this helps.
