my system font has changed

everything on my computer has changed to symbols. I have managed to make the icons, menu bar etc.... go to english, but i h\am haveing problems reading anything.
on some websites i dont know really what I am typing because i see it just as symbols and squares. can anybody help me????

my brother knows some things about computers but he is dumbfounded aswell

we tried re downloading sp1, we tried regristry etc....

Go to start > run > cmd
and type

control international press enter)

Select the language you want in the different tabs of the window.
