my stomach fills with bile

There is nothing in this world that fills me with bile like windows
refusing to delete files.

Matlab and Windows XP enjoy nothing more than working together to
create directories that you need to reboot to remove.

If Windows Vista fixes just this one issue and keeps and changes
nothing else from Windows XP, I'll $1000 per copy. Otherwise, I'll be
disgusted.

Amber fluid (preferably 12 y.o.) works quite well too.. ;-)

Though you have a point, in that user's home folders on servers suffer the
same problem. When the user leaves, it sometimes it takes pound or two of C4
to shift the darned things.

I don't know what matlab is (is it like a meth lab?) but if this is the
worst problem you face in your life, I envy you, my friend.

If you'd like technical support with your issue, perhaps you'd like to
explain the symptoms in more (and more concise) detail, with a little less
of the aforementioned bile? :-)

Matlab is a hyper-expensive programming environment mainly used for
locking up files and directories.

The worst problem I face in life is the body odor of the Linux
administrator down the hall.

I don't want tech support, I am just complaining. I know there are
ugly hacks to fix individual files. I don't like them. I want to be
able to delete a file when I want to delete it.

Wow, what a great feature set. I sure hope it's really expensive, too.

Sorry about that.

Yes, I can see that. However, this isn't really the best way to make friends
in here...why not bitch at the software vendor? This isn't technically a
Windows issue.

I have no problems deleting files and folders, but I don't know what
problems you *are* having.

And I want a vacation in Florida. Well, no, not really. I'll settle for a
pony.

This looks like it.

I'll settle for a functioning operating system.
